Long before the stages and recording studios, he was a little boy in suburban Philadelphia who couldn't stay away from the piano.
Dan knew Mozart before his ABC's. While most kids were learning nursery rhymes, he was picking out melodies by ear. Music wasn't something he practiced because he had to. It was where he felt most at home
Everything changed the day he found his parents' copies of the albums Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John and Turnstiles by Billy Joel.
In that moment he realized something that would shape the rest of his life.
The piano could rock.
From then on, there was never another plan.
Only music.
the beginning
He studied jazz piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where formal training met the music that inspired him most. Artists like Keane and Coldplay showed him how the piano could sit at the center of modern rock, while Freddie Mercury taught him that great performances could be as unforgettable as great songs. Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye added soul, emotion, and honesty to the way he approached songwriting.
Blessed with perfect pitch and a multi-octave vocal range, Dan discovered that music became his clearest way of communicating.

Over the years, that little boy at the piano became a full-time musician, spending nearly half of his life doing what he loves most.
His debut album, Heritage Trail, introduced listeners to songs like "Music In My Head”, a collection rooted in honest storytelling and melodies that stay with you long after the last note.
His journey has taken him to stages across the country, from intimate listening rooms to nationally televised events.
In 2016, he performed at the Power of Love Gala honoring Tony Bennett's 90th birthday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, sharing the stage with Jordin Sparks as part of an all-star celebration.
Along the way, he's also had the opportunity to perform alongside artists including Andrea Bocelli, Babyface, Robin Thicke, and the Blues Brothers.
Today, Dan serves as the lead singer of The Lords of 52nd Street, carrying forward the music of Billy Joel with the musicians who helped create it.
His prominent role as music director for Bernie Williams has seen him perform alongside Louis Cato and Orianthi.
In March of 2026 he performed at Michael Dorf's "The Music Of Billy Joel" at Carnegie Hall as a guest pianist with Billy Joel's backing band led by David Rosenthal. In addition to leading a soaring rendition of "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant", he accompanied Yola, Rob Thomas, Rufus Wainwright, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ledisi, Sammy Rae and Gavin DeGraw in an unforgettable night of music.
The opportunities and audiences have changed, but his mission remains the same. To make people feel something through the power of music.
